Most fans believed that Code Geass was a finished series after the conclusive ending of R2 – however, Lelouch and his company have another trick up their sleeve.
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Code Geass franchise, Lelouch takes the stage again. The third season, titled “Lelouch of the Resurrection”, takes place several years after R2 and will feature Lelouch as the protagonist.
The director will be Gorou Taniguchi, the original creator of the Code Geass series. Taniguchi has not yet confirmed if the third season will be a movie, OVA or a television series.
There are several new character additions in the promotional poster, including one who has an uncanny resemblance to Lelouch.
In addition, three summary movies will be released with the first one coming out in January 2017. The movies will feature brand-new scenes and dubbing.
