Cheeky Parade and GEM Performed Glamorous Act at Release Events at Kawasaki Lazona

Cheeky Parade, the first Japanese artist to ever grace the main stage of the CBGB Music & Film Festival, New York’s biggest music and film festival, had a release event at Lazona Kawasaki on November 9th. In addition to a short concert, there was a handshake event and a display of the outfits they wore during their New York performance.
秋にニューヨーク最大の音楽と映画の祭典【The 3rd Annual CBGB Music ＆ Film Festival】（以下、CBGB）のメインステージに日本人アーティストとして初登場した9人組アイドル Cheeky Paradeが、11月9日にラゾーナ川崎プラザにてニューシングル発売記念ミニライブ＆握手会を開催し、NYでも披露していた新衣装でのアクトを展開した。
This was the second appearance of the day for Cheeky Parade as they had come straight to Kawasaki after performing at the school festival of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in the suburbs of Fuchu. With promotional activities for their upcoming single “CANDY POP GALAXY BOMB!!/Kizuna PUNKY ROCK!!” (release date: December 3, 2014) ramping up, Cheeky Parade’s schedule was taking them all over the place.
12月3日にリリースするニューシングル『CANDY POP GALAXY BOMB !! / キズナPUNKY ROCK !!』をアピールするため、昼すぎに出演した東京農工大学の学園祭が行われていた府中からの直行という形で、チキパの面々は会場入りした。
At Lazona Kawasaki Plaza’s 2nd floor Lufa Plaza Main Stage, Cheeky Parade’s sister group GEM had a short concert and handshake event which started at 2:00pm that day. As they were also promotig an upcoming single of theirs, “Star Shine Story” (release date: December 17), GEM was full of enthusiasm. Having gathered considerable attention with their fierce dances, they performed songs such as “We’re GEM!” and “Do You Believe?” which they have been performing since major debut in January 2014.
一方、その会場となったラゾーナ川崎プラザの2F ルーファ広場 グランドステージでは14時より、Cheeky Paradeの所の妹分グループ GEMがミニライブ＆握手会を開催していた。彼女たちも12月17日にニューシングル『Star Shine Story』のリリースを控えており、意気込みは十分だ。激しく華麗なダンスパートで待ちわびていたファンを魅了すると、「We’re GEM！」「Do You Believe？」など今年1月のメジャーデビューより発表してきたシングル曲を中心にパフォーマンスする。
The venue Lazona Kawasaki is a space directly connected to the station, and it was decorated with brilliant Christmas ornaments and LED lights. Cheeky Parade appeared the place around 5 p.m. , the time when it starts getting dark, and romantic atmosphere covered the venue. As it’s connected to the station, there were a lot of passers-by around the place. In such situation, Cheeky Parade appeared with new costume they wore during CBGB festival. They started mini live concert with as ing “CANDY POP GALAXY BOMB!!” . The song changes key of the music rich in variety, as having rhythmical rap part, 4-beats leading part, and melodious piano part in the beginning, and thus it makes the song unique and aggressive tune. This song will be one of the masterpieces for them as they gave their impression to the music lovers in N.Y. with this song.
会場のラゾーナ川崎プラザは駅直結型のスペースとなっており、鮮やかなイルミネーションや大きなクリスマスツリーも設置されていた。Cheeky Paradeの出演時間である17時ごろには、夕暮れ時の幻想的な雰囲気が会場を包み込んでおり、多くの通行人が行き交っている。そんな中、チキパの9人は【CBGB】で初披露した新衣装で登場した。壮麗なピアノの旋律で始まり、軽快なリズムが小気味良いラップパート、また4つ打ちパートのサビメロなど、めくるめく展開が用意されたユニークでアグレッシブなチューン「CANDY POP GALAXY BOMB !!」でライブをスタートさせた。同曲は【CBGB】でニューヨークの音楽好きにチキパの名を印象付けた、彼女たちの代表作になるであろう。
They continued to the next song, an energetic dance tune “Kizuna PUNKY ROCK!!” and heated up the venue, and performed 2 other up-beating songs after that.Having performed the four songs, the youngest member Mariya Suzuki cheekily shouted “We want to perform another song! Do you want it too!?” and they performed encore song “Cheeky Fighter”, appealed powered up Cheeky Parade after performance in N.Y.
続いてもう一つのシングル曲「キズナPUNKY ROCK !!」のエネルギッシュなダンスビートで肌寒い空気を吹き飛ばすと、アップビートな曲を連発。そして予定していた4曲を終えた所で最年少の鈴木真梨耶が「もう1曲やりたいの！ もう1曲したい!?」とチィキィなわがままを言い始め、急遽「チィキィファイター」を追加で披露するスペシャルな一幕もと、NY公演を超えて一回り成長した姿を観客にアピールした。
