Self-proclaimed “NOT IDOL” group BILLIE IDLE® have released the MV for their first single “anarchy in the music scene” which was released on iTunes on March 2nd and will be included in their debut album “IDLE GOSSIP” (release date: April 1).

Showered with poppy retro visuals, the MV has the members of BILLIE IDLE® shifting between cool, cute, and wild while dressed in their military-themed olive and khaki uniforms. “anarchy in the music scene” was first performed at “BILLIE IDLE® LAUNCH SHOW” at Shibuya club asia on January 11, 2015, a special live reserved for the first 100 people that paid the annual 30,000 yen yearly membership fee to join their fan club IDLE FELLA$.

Remembering that First Summer Uika and Nozomi Hirano were previously members of the legendary anti-idol group BiS, and that their producers are Nigo of A Bathing Ape/Teriyaki Boyz and Junnosuke Watanabe (BiS’ former manager), expectations BILLIE IDLE® were probably high enough to justify the risk in the minds and hearts of many fans. Although it’s too late to be a first generation member of IDLE FELLA$, BILLIE IDLE® will be holding their first public concert at La Foret Museum Harajuku on April 4th. Even though Uika’s hair is fluorescent orange in the video, given how many different colors she’s gone through in the past 6 months, what color will it be when she takes the stage in Harajuku that day?
