Aoyama☆Saint Hachamecha High School (commonly known as “Mecha High”) received a surprise at the birthday concert for Hitomi Sakaki at Shinjuku MARZ on February 1st. After the encore, an announcement revealed that they would be making their major debut on EMI in June. However, if they did not manage to get at least 2,000 people to their 4th solo concert “VANISHING POINT” at Zepp Tokyo (maximum capacity: 2,709) on April 5th, the contract would be voided.
After climbing back into the Oricon top 10 with their latest single “Mecha High no Gyakushuu~BEYOND THE DARKNESS~” (Mecha High’s Counterattack~ BEYOND THE DARKNESS~), it looked like Mecha High were beginning to see the results of their persevering through their setbacks of the past year. Their last big solo concert at Akasaka Blitz (March 23, 2014) had over 800 fans attend but, in order to get 2,000 people through the doors at Zepp Tokyo, that would mean more than doubling their numbers! Let’s see if Mecha High can go “beyond the darkness” and towards the light this spring!
