The spring anime is beginning to end and the summer anime is starting to unveil its shape. For this summer, remake work, sequel anime, and male idol stories occupied the frame. We selected recommended six anime from this summer with must-known information that you should enjoy when watching.
1. Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan
From Weekly Shonen Jump, the gag manga series Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan will be broadcasted from July. Probably for the first time in anime history, this anime is scheduled to be broadcasted in two time zones; every weekday morning and every Sunday in the middle of night. The script is done by Michiko Yokote, who has participated in “Prison School”, “SHIROBAKO”, etc. Hiroshi Kamiya acts out the hard protagonist Saiki Kusuo, who doesn’t speak, but tells minds indirectly using monologues. Kamiya told that it would be the most challenging character in this work, and thought he wouldn’t be getting Kusuo’s role. The other two main casts are Daisuke Ono, acting Riki Nendou, and Nobunaga Shimazaki, acting Shu Kaidou. The opening theme is sang by Natsuki Hanae, who also joins as voice actor in this anime, and the ending theme is done by Dempagumi.inc.

2. Battery
This season’s Noitamina frame is the adolescent baseball story, Battery. The original novel has a total circulation of 10 million, and is the masterpiece of adolescence literature read in many generations written by Atsuko Asano, who is the author of “No.6” as well. From the first publish of “Battery”, 20years have passed, and Asano told that her wish of Battery being an long time endeared work to many people became true. The character draft is drawn and directed by Takako Shimura, a manga artist. The beautiful and soft touch of the illustration make the atmosphere very sensitive, which is essential in adolescence story. Kouki Uchimura and Tasuku Hatanaka form a battery by acting out the protagonists.

3. D. Gray-man Hallow
After 10years from the last anime broadcasting, D.Gray-man is finally coming back this summer with the name of D.Gray-man Hallow!! The monumental work of dark fantasy has fascinated all over the world and fans eagerly waited the reborn of the anime project. The casts are fully renewed and we reported the fresh prompt report from Anime Japan 2016. The animation will be created by the staffs of TMS Entertainment. The ending theme is sang by Mashiro Ayano.

4. NEW GAME!
NEWGAME! is a four-panel manga serialized by Shotarou Tokuno in Manga Time Kirara Charat. The outbreak of this work spread from one tweet with the photo of one panel that says “Ganbaru-zoi!”, meaning “I’ll do my best” with an unique unmeaning ending word “zoi”. The story is developed in the game company, Eagle Jump, with one newly hired girl called Aoba Suzukaze, and it raises the curtain of girls work comedy with other members of the company. Its’ cute and sometimes erotic scenes are devotedly drawn, just like the original manga!

5. Mob Psycho 100
The author of ONEPUNCHMAN, ONE comes back this summer with another masterpiece, “Mob Psycho 100“. It is a serialized psychokinesis manga in Manga One. The hero of this story Mob dreams to spend a normal life, but because of his super power, he gets targeted by many villains. The psychic comedy with the collaboration of ONE and the animation company Bones will be on aired this summer! Miyu Irino, Takahiro Sakurai, and many popular actors participate in this work. If you loved ONEPUNCHMAN, this is for you this summer.

6. LoveLive! Sunshine!!
LoveLive! Sunshine!! starts this summer finally!! The setting is at a seaside country at Shizuoka prefecture where 9 high school girls stand up to become a shining school idol. Yuuhei Murota, the character design, and Sakurako Kimino, original draft, once again tags up to create the another dreaming project. We are excited how the story will go on and how the nine girls will grow as school idols. From the promotion video below, we can see that Chika dreams to become a school idol by looking μ’s activities in the past, which we cannot miss how it might connect with the previous LoveLive! Project.
