ANGERME Unleashes MV for “Otome no Gyakushuu”! Beware “A Girl’s Counterattack”!

ANGERME (the group formerly known as S/mileage) has released the MV for “Otome no Gyakushuu”, the other song for their first single “Taikibansei/Otome no Gyakushuu” (release date: February 4)!
The MV for “Otome no Gyakushuu”, which seems to have been filmed at the same location as Houkago Princess’ “Manatsu no Yoru no Yume”, feels like it would be better off being released in the fall with it’s eerie, infectious music and spooky dance moves. Regardless, a video like this will haunt you once you have seen it and have you watching out for a “nail polished fist” or “sparks of fire”. Although it seemed random to have Maho Aikawa do a ballet solo in the middle, it adds to the unconventional nature of the song.
They have also added a “Dance Promotion edit” version of “Taikibansei” which removes the close-ups of the members in front of the colorful sheet for more dancing. It could be a useful tool for anyone wanting to learn the choreography for the song, even if the camera is kind of all over the place.
