AKB48’s Brand New MV “Suzukake Nanchara” Revealed!

The MV preview for AKB48’s 34th single featuring the 16 winners from ‘4th Janken tournament’ has been revealed finally! (Release Date : December 11)
The title is Suzukake no Ki no Michi de ‘Kimi no Hohoemi wo Yume ni Miru’ to Itteshimattara Bokutachi no Kankei wa Dou Kawatteshimaunoka, Bokunari ni Nannichi ka Kangaeta Ue deno Yaya Kihazukashii Ketsuron no youna Mono (“Suzukake Nanchara” for short).
The jacket photos were taken by photographer Kenshu Shintsubo, based on the theme “literary AKB“. He shot a ephemeral moment of 16 girls with sailor uniform on in a soft sunlight, and illustrations drawn by Machiko Kyo on the back jacket amplify the strength of the concept more.
The MV was filmed in Ashikaga-city, Tochigi. Its full version was finished in a 22 minutes long drama-style video. The MV depicts a story of girls’ reunion after 10 years from the days they spent youth together in school days.
There is an individual scenario for each member.
For example, Jurina Matsui “entered a major advertising agency after graduating college, and she is starting her own business as an advertising planner.”
Kitahara Rie “joined a theatrical company after graduating high school, and she has become the top actress of the troupe. She is playing an active parts in plays, dramas, and movies.”…etc. At the end of the drama part, the members perform what they will be in ten years, based on each scenario. So, they also challenged an aging makeup in the video.
The MV was directed by Kitamura Ryuhei known for “VERSUS”, “Azumi”, and he also directed a coupling track “Mosh&Dive.”

Rina Hirata “after passing the audition, started living in Tokyo alone. She has become an idol, and still striving for her love, her lifework, “Eternal Idol” ”
Mina Oba “studied at cooking school, after apprenticed at Italian Restaurant, she has opened her own restaurant that has been her desire.”
Maria Abe “is playing an active part as a popular magazine model. She is also a director of a fashion brand. (to be engaged)
Wakana Natori “has become a nurse after graduating a junior college. She has married a surgeon, and is a housewife bringing up twin boys now.
