AKB48 Introduces “Pennant Race” System following the Draft System.

It was decided that “Pennant Race“system to compete in each team is introduced to AKB48.
It was announced in AKB official channel on YouTube by Togasaki Tomonobu the general maneger of AKB48 group on November 10.
Mr. Togasaki announced that they start the pennant race for the magnification of the ticket, approval rating from the fan like professional baseball league or professional football league.They will have a rookie audition “AKB48 group Draft Meeting” that they have learned in professional baseball on November 10 and they will start the new system that imitate professional sports on next January to compete in the group in order to raise the level of AKB48 group.
In addition, he announced that they will have two classes, regular members and training members for treatment of members chosen in draft meeting.Training members do lessons with trainee members and aim to become regular members.This system also suggests the training draft of professional baseball draft.
