The Title of AKB48’s Upcoming Single has been given 76 Characters Long!

Title of AKB48’s 34th single featuring the 16 winners from ‘4th Janken tournament’ has been revealed finally, but it’s too long to fit in a column. It’s the longest title ever in all of AKB48’s song, that has 76 characters.

The title is;

Suzukake no Ki no Michi de ‘Kimi no Hohoemi wo Yume ni Miru’ to Itteshimattara Bokutachi no Kankei wa Dou Kawatteshimaunoka, Bokunari ni Nannichi ka Kangaeta Ue deno Yaya Kihazukashii Ketsuron no youna Mono

鈴懸の木の道で「君の微笑みを夢に見る」と言ってしまったら僕たちの関係はどう変わってしまうのか、僕なりに何日か考えた上でのやや気恥ずかしい結論のようなもの

The title says “A thing like a slightly embarrassing conclusion I came up with after several days of consideration how our relations will change if I told you ‘I saw your smile in my dream’ on the way of plane trees.”

Yasushi Akimoto, 48 groups’ general producer, explained “When I was writing the song, imagining the members chosen by the Janken tournament, I felt something that was difficult to describe in only one word.” He continued “It could be glitter of youth, or mystery of girls, or maybe earnestness for running towards the dream with full effort as AKB48 group. So I made the title that is as if scribbling of such my thoughts.”

The song is composed by Tetsuro Oda who had previously provided two songs to AKB48 including Hashire! Penguin and Kimi no Koto ga Suki Dakara. Though he has provided such most popular songs in AKB, this is the first time for him to provide the title track for the group’s single. He has revealed that the new song would be a cheerful idol song filled with call & response between fans and members.

Jurina Matsui, who will serve as lead singer for this single, commented “I was so much happy to hear that Tetsuro Oda participates as a composer in the new song that I will serve as a lead singer for the first time. I was so much pleasured. I hope everyone love this song like his previous songs.”
In addition, she shared, “I was surprised because this is the longest title I have ever seen, but it would be fun the title becomes a hot topic. I’m looking forward to talking with fans about the title at handshake events.”
