AKB48 prepares to part ways with Mayu Watanabe in the MVs for “11-Gatsu no Anklet” and “Sayonara de Owaru Wake Janai” from their 50th single “11-Gatsu no Anklet” (release date: November 22)!

The MV for “11-Gatsu no Anklet”, which was directed by Fumiko Hirano, opens with Mayu Watanabe frolicking around while wearing an oversized sweatshirt, the other senbatsu members gradually making their appearances. Unfortunately, this is only a short preview which does not show the final scenes of her leading them in a sprint through a rainstorm.

The MV for “Sayonara de Owaru Wake Janai”, Watanabe’s graduation song, was directed by Eiki Takahashi and takes on a somber tone. Set in an antique home, the visuals hint at the history of the girl who has grown into adulthood and preparing to begin a new journey while looking back at all that she leaves behind.

“11-Gatsu no Anklet” will be released in 5 limited edition CD/DVD versions and 5 regular CD/DVD versions. Type-A includes the exclusive track “Omoidasete Yokatta” by STU48. Type-B includes the exclusive track “Ikiru Koto ni Nekkyou wo!” by AKB48 Team 8. Type-C includes a yet untitled exclusive track by a new unit. Type-D includes the exclusive track “Yaban na Kyūkai” by Dance Senbatsu. Type-E includes the exclusive track “Hōtei Sokudo to Yūetsukan” by an Under-17 Senbatsu. The coupling song for all versions is “Sayonara de Owaru Wake Janai”.

Mayu Watanabe’s graduation concert “~Minna no Yume wo Kanaemasu You ni~” takes place at Saitama Super Arena on October 31, 2017 with her final AKB48 Theater performance yet to be scheduled.
