Tsunku♂ Confesses Cancer, Pauses in Activity for Intensive Care

A singer and songwriter, the producer of Hello! Project, Tsunku♂ revealed on his official blog, that he was informed a detection of throat cancer. He chose to aim for a complete cure without removing a vocal cord. Tsunku♂ is going to suspend his business for a time due to the cancer care.
According to the statement posted, he’s been feeling a sense of discomfort in his throat for eight years. What discovered during the exam of cells in February was larynx cancer in an early stage. He’s going to receive an intensive care soon.
He also stated, “Even after the treatment, there’ll be many parts remaining unknown, such as the time I’ll be able to use my voice again. I’d love to announce a return to phonic work in each case. After being managed in an intensive care, I’ll keep doing what I’ve been doing including desk work.
However, Tsunku♂ feels extremely well, except for his throat, he closed the post with positive attitude, “I am looking forward to have the day I deliver my songs again.”
