Tokyo Performance Doll Lights up Hong Kong with Their First Overseas Live

Tokyo Performance Doll kicked off the opening ceremony of the 16th ACGHK (Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong) at the Hong Kong Convention Center with their debut single “BRAND NEW STORY”on July 25, 2014, commemorating their first overseas performance. Shortly after that, Tokyo Performance Doll appeared at the high-end DRAGON CENTRE shopping mall to hold a free concert before returning to the Hong Kong Convention Center to perform for the event goers for a second time. Aside from a short self-introduction, which mixed Japanese, English, and Cantonese, Tokyo Performance Doll heated things up with a near non-stop 30 minute performance.

Leader of the group Nana Takashima remarked that she was really excited about the performances and was motivated to keep improving with the intention to return to Hong Kong again in the near future (*Hajimete no kaigai, Honkon de totemo ekisaitingu shimashita. Mata mou ichido, koko ni modotte koreru you ni, sarani pafoumansu wo migaite ikitaidesu!*). Given the warm reception of the audience and the sparkling performance of TPD, it is likely that the two forces will once again converge in Hong Kong before you know it.
