TOKYO GIRLS’ STYLE and Yuno Ohara to Collaborate in Exciting New Unit for Tokyo Idol Festival 2018

Idols and fans alike will be returning to TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2018 this summer for the annual celebration of idols. There’s going to be one special reunion—the 4-member group TOKYO GIRLS’ STYLE and gravure idol Yuno Ohara will be joining forces to form a special unit for the festival.

It’s not the first time they’ve performed together. Yuno Ohara, who was once a member of the former idol group Dream5, previously collaborated with TOKYO GIRLS’ STYLE as “Tokyo Doriryuu”. Having come from the same agency and debuting around the same time, the idols have a friendship that goes beyond their respective groups.

When TOKYO GIRLS’ STYLE member Hitomi Arai was forced to pull out of the music video shooting for their song “Hatsukoi” released in February, it was Ohara who stepped in as an replacement. Last year, she also joined them on stage at their long-awaited comeback to TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL.

Miyu Yamabe from TOKYO GIRLS’ STYLE expressed her excitement for this new collaboration. “We all debuted together, and she even appeared in our music video recently so it’s great timing for us to perform together on stage,” she said. “We’ve always been good friends with Yuno. Even though she’s so small she has great power, so I’m sure she’ll add an amazing flavor to TOKYO GIRLS’ STYLE. I’m especially excited to watch her dance! It’s a rare opportunity to see us mix together so please come witness this spectacular combination!”
