SUPER☆GiRLS have finally stepped out into summer with the highly anticipated MV for their 13th single “Icchatte♪ Yacchatte♪” (release date: August 19)!
Since their 2nd single “MAX! Otome Gokoro”, it has become somewhat of a tradition for SUPER☆GiRLS to have a summer song featuring the members in swimsuits and “Icchatte♪ Yacchatte♪” is no exception. “Icchatte♪ Yacchatte♪” is being used as the commercial song for Ito Yokado’s “Koi Mizugi” summer swimwear promotion campaign, which means lots and lots of scenes of the members of SUPER☆GiRLS wearing the aforementioned swimsuits! The MV is an homage to “MAX! Otome Gokoro” as it is set in a training camp, with the members even beginning the video in school uniforms similar to the ones worn back in 2011. As the members shimmy underneath a limbo bar, smash balloons with their backsides, and devour watermelon, the points begin to rack up. With the recent attention given to Nana Asakawa, there have been scenes allotted to specially showcase her but, fans of every member should not be disappointed either. Visually as well as musically, “Icchatte♪ Yacchatte♪” is pure SUPER☆GiRLS with its upbeat, bouncy instrumentation and catchy hook that is easy to sing along with. Come on! Do it! You know you want to.
“Icchatte♪ Yacchatte♪” will be sold in a CD/Blu-ray version as well as a regular CD version. The Blu-ray version includes the full version of the MV for “Icchatte♪ Yacchatte♪” and a behind the scenes clip from the making of the video. The coupling song is titled “Mune Kyun Love Song” and will be the 5th ending theme song for the anime Prism Paradise (PriPara).
