“iDOL Street Carnival 2013 WINTER X’mas Special” took place at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL on December 22 where SUPER☆GiRLS, Cheeky Parade, and the other groups who belong to iDOL Street showed each performance.
For the ancore performance, SUPER☆GiRLS members appeared on the stage wearing a blue colored new costume, and they announced that they will release their 9th single “Sorairo no Kiseki” on February 12, 2014.
Then, surprisingly, leader Yasaka Saori announced her graduation from the group.
The surprise announcement caused quite a commotion temporary in the hall.
In front of 2,200 audiences, she declared, “I, Saori Yasaka, will graduate from SUPER☆GiRLS after our concert at Pacifico Yokohama on February 23rd. I’m sorry for this sudden announcement, but I will continue to charge with full force toward my dream as same as always, so please support Saori Yasaka who is taking a new step.”
She explained tearfully the reason of the decision, “I will pursue my childhood dream of becoming a musical actress. I wondered how I could return a favor to everyone who have always supported my dream, but I thought that to challenge toward my dream with full force is the only way to reply.”
Yasaka’s symbol color is sky blue. They showcased their new song “Sorairo no Kiseki (miracle of sky blue)” named after her symbol color.

Surprise announcement was not only that. It was also revealed that two new members from avex’s idol project ‘iDOL Street’, Nana Asakawa and Risa Uchimura, will be joining SUPER☆GiRLS. They will join the group officially after Yasaka’s graduation.
This had been rumored among fans, because there were two people silhouette other than SUPER ☆ GiRLS members in the video titled “Next Street 2014 image movie” that was revealed via YouTube a few days before.
Asakawa shared her enthusiasm, “I auditioned for iDOL Street because I love SUPER ☆ GiRLS so much. I will try my best to be said that Asakawa’s joining was nice. Thank you in advance!”
Uchimura also said, “Honestly, it hasn’t hit me yet, but I will give it my all, so please support me.
Just 3 years has passed since SUPER☆GiRLS debuted on December 22, 2010. We hope that SUPER☆ GiRLS and iDOL Street will show us the further growth next year, under the concept of “Next Street 2014”!
