Idols × Running! All the Members of SUPER☆GiRLS Run the Honolulu Half Marathon!

All the members of idol group SUPER☆GiRLS ran the Hapalua Honolulu Half Marathon 2015 on April 12 (for the second year in a row.)
Group member Reira Arai (20) did particularly well last year, with a time of 2 hours 5 minutes, and was the runner-up in the 15-19 age category. This year, she was aiming to break the two-hour mark.
However, the weather this year was particularly warm, making the race even harder. She achieved a time of 2 hours, 4 minutes and 34 seconds.
About the race, Reira said: “I’m not the best at long-distance running, but I realised how much fun marathons are after last year! I was aiming to finish in under two hours, and I’m really disappointed that I didn’t manage it. Next year I’ll get it for sure!
Reina is also a model for Tokyo Girls’ Collection and also a figurehead for the affiliated running team “Tokyo Girls Run”. SUPER☆GiRLS also spent time with around 50 fans on Oahu, watching dolphins, crafting Hawaiian jewellery, and exploring the island as part of their trip.
It’s been five years now since SUPER☆GiRLS’s major debut in 2010. On April 29, they’re due to take part in the “iDOL Street Carnival 2015 Golden Parade” at the NHK Hall, together with other acts such as Cheeky Parade and GEM.
