If EDM is a religion, STEREO JAPAN might be their shrine maidens, as shown in the MV for “Buddhist Bounce” from their 2nd EP “Ibiza” (release date: January 23)!
Although STEREO JAPAN is written, it seems like only the members of Stereo Tokyo and breakdancing monks with woven helmets appear in it. Making their way through a forest, the are taken to a temple where they undergo some strict training before they appear in some glamorous furisode kimono, giving it a feeling of the New Year. Known for attracting fans who bring flags and all manner of penlights and cyalumes, how long will it be until someone shows up to a STEREO JAPAN live in white robes and a helmet?
STEREO JAPAN will be holding a release event for the EP at SOUND MUSEUM VISION on January 23rd and scheduled to appear are: Stereo Tokyo, STEREO JAPAN, and Stereo ???. Who could the yet unnamed group be? A special unit? Another regional group like Stereo Osaka (now known as Edge Dub Monkeyz)?
