Fairways and Stalemates in SKE48’s MVs for “Happy Ranking” and “Ii Hito Ii Hito Sagi”!

SKE48 tee up and make their way across the chessboard in the MVs for “Happy Ranking” and “Ii Hito Ii Hito Sagi” from their 20th single “Kin no Ai, Gin no Ai” (release date: August 17)!

The MV for “Happy Ranking” (Type-A exclusive) has the Ranking Girls 2016 senbatsu, lead by Jurina Matsui assembling at a rainy golf course and swinging their clubs and umbrellas. Of course, there are some scenes of Suzuran Yamauchi showing off her excellent form honed through years of practice. A low-speed water balloon fight breaks out when Mina Oba and Jurina get attacked while taking a selfie while riding in the golf cart as well.

The MV for “Ii Hito Ii Hito Sagi” by Yancha na Tenshi to Yasashii Akuma (Type-D exclusive) has the forces of good and evil facing off in a dance battle on a chess board. Presumably, the angels are supposed to be on the side of light but, they are doing quite a bit of taunting while the devils just want to be left alone. That has to be the reason why the unit name translates to “naughty/mischevious angel and kind devil/demon”?

“Kin no Ai, Gin no Ai” will be released in 4 limited edition and 4 regular versions, each with a DVD. Type-A includes the bonus song “Happy Ranking” by Ranking Girls 2016 senbatsu. Type-B includes the bonus song “Madogiwa LOVER” by Next Position. Type-C includes “Sayonara ga Utsukushikute”, Aya Shibata’s graduation song featuring her and the 4th generation SKE48 members. Type-D includes the bonus song “Ii Hito Ii Hito Sagi” by Yancha na Tenshi to Yasashii Akuma. The coupling song for all versions is “Konya wa Shake it!” by Love Crescendo. The DVD for each version includes the MV for “Kin no Ai, Gin no Ai” as well as the one for their exclusive songs. Further contents have not been announced.
