Mysterious illustrated idol group Sayonara Ponytail, that previously performed theme songs for Kill La Kill and Tsuritama, joined T-Palette Records in May and has already released 3 new MVs!

The MVs for “Kawaii ano Ko” and “Superstar” were created for the Paryuko x Tokyo Kaihou-ku (Liberated zone) exhibition “Onna no Ko no Uta”. Starring Emma Maeda and directed by Maki Taguchi, the MVs reflect the two faces of the modern girl. On one hand she may be naive but, she is also stubborn and willful at times.

From June 24th until July 7th, the exhibition will be at the Shinjuku Isetan store. From there, it will move to Kyoto Isetan from July 29th until August 4th and Nihombashi Mitsukoshi in Tokyo from August 19th until 24th. In commemoration of the the event, there will be several items for sale, highlighted by a limited number of Sayonara Ponytail tote bags that come with a CD of the two songs inside it. Here is the cover art for the CD.

Just in time for the rainy season, Sayonara Ponytail has put up the MV for the seasonal “Tenki Yohou no Koibito” (Weather Forecast Lover), which is a laid-back hip-hop song perfect for walking outside during a light drizzle on a cloudy day. While the amount of MVs they have released in such a short time is impressive, how will being on T-Palette help a group who has never performed live, or even revealed the faces of their members? Time will tell.
