Rio Hiiragi launches a full-frontal audio-visual attack in the MV for “BANZAI! BANZAI!” (release date: April 6)!
“BANZAI! BANZAI!” was produced by Hyadain (Ken’ichi Maeyamada) and the music alternates between chaotic high-speed dempa-kei and majestic anisong as Rio shows off a variety of looks while surrounded by cameras. Clips of her on video streaming sites, referencing her more than 3 years straight of live webcasting, also make an appearance. The collaboration was the result of Rio winning one of the special judge’s awards during the 2015 Idol Matsuri dance contest. “BANZAI! BANZAI!” is a self-introduction song that traces her history as an idol and manages to condense everything that Rio Hiiragi currently is into 5 minutes!
“BANZAI! BANZAI!” is available in 2 limited editions and 4 regular versions. Type-A includes a DVD with her April 4, 2015 17-song live at Zepp Diver City on it. Type-B includes a DVD with the MV and making of for “BANZAI! BANZAI!” on it. The regular versions all have different coupling songs: “Aizou Distopia” (Type-C), “Please be mine” (Type-D), “Sakura Conflict” (Type-E), and “AWAKE” (Type-F).
