Ganba-Rina! Rina Kondo Announces Her Graduation From NMB48!

Kondo Rina announced her graduation from NMB48 during the Team M “RESET” performance at the NMB48 Theater in Osaka on January 15, 2016. Her graduation performance at the NMB48 Theater will take place on January 27, 2016.

“Since joining NMB48, I have been able to experience many things. While doing that, I was able to find something that I wanted to do and during my 5th year (in NMB48), I have made the decision to take a different road to pursue my dream.”

NMB48に入って、たくさんの経験をさせていただきました。活動していくうちに自分がやりたいことを見つけて、今後は違う道で夢を追いかけていこうと思い、5年ということで卒業を決断しました。

“Nothing has been decided for what I will do after graduation but, I want to do my best in going after the dream that I always had of becoming an actress.”

卒業してからはまだあまり何するか決まってないんですけど、ずっと夢だった女優という道に向かって頑張っていきたいと思います。

Thank you very much to everyone who has supported me. Because everyone has been cheering for me, I have been able to come this far. During the past 5 years, there have been things I regret as well as fun times and happy times but, there were a lot of things which were painful. However, being able to read the letters and comments by everyone, I was able to be encouraged to keep going until now.

いつも応援してくださってる皆さん、本当にありがとうございます。皆さんの支えがあって私はここまでやってくることができました。5年間凄い悔しいこととか、楽しいこととか嬉しいこともあったんですけど、この5年間は悔しいことがたくさんありました。だけど、ここまでこれたのは皆さんの手紙やコメントを読んで、本当に私の支えになっていました。

It’s quite sudden but, my graduation theater performance will be on January 27th. Yes, it’s much sooner than Ripopo (Riho Kotani) or Kanako (Kanako Kadowaki) but after talking about it with the staff members, this was the result. I will be working hard to reach my dreams after I leave and there is only a short time left so, everyone lets make as many fun memories as possible until then! Thank you for your support.”

卒業公演は、早いんですけど、1月27日です。そうなんですよ、りぽぽと佳奈子より早いんですけど、これはスタッフさんとたくさん話し合って決めた結果なので。でも辞めてからも自分の夢に向かって頑張るので、皆さん、残り少ない時間なんですけど、楽しい思い出作っていきましょう。応援よろしくお願いします。

Later that evening, “Riichan” Tweeted that she had decided not to cry but was unable to hold back the tears after looking at the faces of the fans and other members, vowing to reply to the reaction tweets once she had calmed down. As soon as she made her announcement, her name was propelled into the Twitter trend rankings with all the reactions from the fans as well as her fellow idols.

She followed up with another tweet explaining that even though her future plans had not yet been set, she world work hard to make her dream of becoming an actress come true.
