Rev.from DVL have released the MV for “Kimi ga Ite, Boku ga Ita” from their 4th single “Ai Girls/Kimi ga Ite, Boku ga Ita” (release date: March 25th).
The video is a montage of a school year as the members prepare for a big dance performance. Initially, Kanna Hashimoto, the “once in a thousand years idol”, has some problems with the choreography, prompting to keep working after the rest of the members have gone home. They see her dancing alone and practice with her until she is able to do it properly. The climax of the video is the performance 1 year later. As the curtain closes, the members shed tears, overwhelmed by the emotional journey that brought them to the stage. The video closes out with the members of Rev. from DVL taking a picture with some other people (who have almost no backstory) in front of their fictional school (which is named after the group).
The coupling song “Ai Girl” is a special collaboration with the popular media franchise Aikatsu (Idol Katsudou) which includes trading card games, anime, manga, and novels. Kanna Hashimoto, Miho Akiyama, and Nagisa Shinomiya who have been “special collaboration partners” for Aikatsu! are the members of the group who will be singing the song for the 4th series.
A special accessory card for Aikatsu! will be included in the Type-B version of the single and the coupling song is titled “50 years”. The Type-A version includes a DVD with two MVs for Kimi ga Ite, Boku ga Ita” (regular and dance versions) as well as a ‘making of’ for the videos and a special movie showing the choreography for “Ai Girl”. The coupling song for the Type-A version is titled “What a surprise!”.
