Rena Matsui to Charan Po Rantan, the special unit of Rena Matsui and Charan Po Rantan stir up some nostalgia in the MV for “Shabon” (release date: April 6)!
The MV has Rena playing a young working woman taking shelter in a laundromat during a rainy night. This ties in with the drama Kanagawa-ken Atsugi-shi Laundry Chigasaki that she stars in as well as providing the theme song “Shabon” with Charan Po Rantan. The cool jazzy music, highlighted by Koharu’s haunting accordion playing, gives off a a vibe far removed from the suburban setting of the MV for a captivating mix of sights and sounds.

“Shabon” will be released in 3 different versions. Type-A will include the MV for “Shabon”, and Type-B will include the making of video for “Shabon”. Type-C includes a bonus track titled “Karasu-za”. The coupling song for all versions is “Coffee to Cake” (Koohii to Keeki).
