Rena Matsui to Collaborate With Charan Po Rantan For 1st Post-SKE48 Single “Shabon”!

After graduating from SKE48 in August of 2015, Rena Matsui has been involved in a variety of activities such as acting, modeling, and appearing on television as a “tarento”. She will be making her long-awaited return to music with her first single “Shabon” to be released on April 6th. On February 8th, she mentioned on the TV program “Music and Comic Plus” in which she appears as a regular personality, that she will be singing the tie-up song of a drama that will be on broadcast from March.
The song will be a collaboration with Charan Po Rantan, a group consisting of sisters Momo (singer) and Koharu (accordion), and this time Rena will make an artist debut in the name of “Rena Matsui and Charan Po Rantan”.
Charan Po Rantan has appeared on Music and Comic Plus as a guest artist and Rena has frequently gone to see them perform. Maintaining amicable relations with them, she petitioned strongly to make the collaboration come true.
Details will be announced at a later date but, we will anticipate on the future activities of Charan Po Rantan inside and outside of Japan, and will look forward to the new worldview that Rena Matsui will show us! It is definitely one of the units that we must keep our eyes on in 2016!
