Everybody loves pizza right? Pizza is justice!
On October 27th, an international pizza party sponsored by Domino’s Pizza was held at Akihabara 100 Square. Most of the participants are students from Go! Go! Nihon who are in Japan for study. Pizza ran out immediately as soon as it was set down on the tables because it has that kind of power!
During the party, Go! Go! Nihon staff had a demonstration about ordering pizza online through Domino’s English website. Domino’s is having special deal “BUY 1 PIZZA, GET 1 FREE!” (http://www.dominos.jp/eng/specialoffers/search/). This campaign offers you to get one free pizza when you order 2 two-topping pizzas. You can build your own pizza from crust to topping.
Talking on the phone in Japanese is not easy for those studying the language. But what would you do if you cannot stop your craving for pizza? Domino’s English website will save you from starving to death in a foreign country!
You can also count down the minutes/seconds until your pizza arrives with the “GPS DRIVER TRACKER” service. Clicking “Pizza Tracker” after you finish ordering shows the process of making pizza and driver’s location on the map.
We asked some of the participants what the differences between Domino’s Pizza in Japan and Domino’s Pizza in other countries was. All of them answered that it was pretty consistent all over the world. Food in Japan is sometimes made in such a way that it becomes to enjoy the taste because it’s “too beautiful”, however Domino’s Pizza is Domino’s Pizza here in Japan too. Everyone enjoyed Domino’s world standard taste.
At the end of the party, everyone who attend the event got discount vouchers. Desire for pizza never stops even if you like Japanese food. Join us if we have another Domino’s Pizza party!
