On February 6, 3 members from 6,793 applicants were chosen as members of part-time AKB48 unit “Baito AKB”, selected through “Paruru Senbatsu”, in which Haruka Shimazaki from AKB48 acted as a producer and chose the members.
DIP Corporation, that organizes the largest classified temporary and part time job website in Japan,”Baitoru” （http://www.baitoru.com/）, and AKB48 group collaborated to recruit “Baito AKB” members for the second time, who will work as part-time AKB48 members.
Eligible applicants were women who were above 15 years old (excluding middle school students), and successful candidates signed a contract to work part-time in AKS (1000yen per hour). Those who passed the audition will work as limited time only AKB48 members until August 10, 2016 (Baitoru Day), however, renewal of contract may occur.
It has been announced that successful candidates will make a CD debut by a song written by Yasushi Akimoto, and will appear in the commercial of “Baitoru”. In addition, they will work as part-time members in AKB48.
Although they were chosen as “part-time” members, there is a chance that they will become full-fledged members since it has been stated that renewal of contract is possible. Hope for their future success and wait a moment to watch them perform as idols!
