History and Youth Share the Spotlight in Nogizaka46’s MV for “Itsuka Dekiru Kara Kyo Dekiru”

The music video of Nogizaka 46’s new song “Itsuka Dekiru Kara Kyo Dekiru” has been released. The title tune of the group’s 19th single, it will be released on October 11th and feature Nanase Nishino and Asuka Saito in the W Center role. This upbeat, rousing song is about young girls growing up and the challenges they face, while also serving as the theme song for the upcoming movie “Asahinagu” (premiered on September 22nd), which will star Nishino and eight other members.

The content of the MV gives an impression of the world of the “Asahinagu” project, with Asuka Saito, who stars in the stage version of “Asahinagu”, seen wearing the main character’s (Asahi Tojima) trademark round glasses, and appearing in scenes in which she is drawing a “naginata” (Japanese spear).

The filming of Asuka Saito drawing a picture was done at Wakeijuku; a place where the author Haruki Murakami formerly stayed. So for Asuka Saito, who loves books, it was an irresistible location and she was very excited throughout the filming.

Also, the MV was directed by Eiki Takahashi, who had last directed for the group’s second single “Oide Shampoo” some five and a half years ago.
