ANGERME (the group formerly known as S/mileage) has finally released a new version of the MV for their first single “Taikibansei” (release date: February 4)!
“Taikibansei” is a four character idiom (yojijukugo) which literally translates to “great talents mature late” but Hello!Project has chosen the much simpler term “a late bloomer” for the English translation of the lyrics. In addition to teaching semi-advanced Japanese, the song is a funky dance number that will make your body move on its own. New member Rikako Sasaki looks cool in her boyish slacks and suspenders but the other short-haired members Meimi Tamura and Akari Takeuchi not so much. Even if you know Ayaka Wada’s wink will appear at the 3-minute mark, it will still make your heart skip a beat!
Since ANGERME’s first single “Taiki Bansei/Otome no Gyakushuu” (A Late Bloomer/A Girl’s Counterattack) is a double A-side can we expect the MV for “Otome no Gyakushuu” to appear any day now?
