MOFU MOFU☆DOGS “Waiting4U〜Mofu Mofu Saseteageru〜” M/V (AKITA DOG POP STAR)
In this video, Akita-ken idol group “MOFU MOFU ☆DOGS” are promoting the attraction of Akita prefecture through their song and dance. “MOFU MOFU ☆DOGS” was created by Akita Inu Tourism on November 1, the Dog’s day, in the hope to promote the towns of Odate, Kita Akita, Kosakamachi, and Kamikoanimura in northern Akita prefecture.
Northern Akita is surrounded by a rich natural environment, and the transition of seasons is clear so you are able to enjoy various activities depending on the time. Not only local specialties such as “Kiritanpo” (pounded rice skewer) and “Magewappa” (Japanese traditional lunch box), the culture where you can feel the “warmth” of people and Onsen is also a characteristic of Akita. The northern Akita prefectures stated that they will appeal those warmth of Akita and named it as “Warm Japan”, opposite to the well-known “Cool Japan”. As the first project of “Warm Japan”, the video of “MOFU MOFU ☆DOGS” was released.
The video defines mofu mofu as “a state of fluffy softness and warmth, like the fur of an Akita dog. This state is so strong that people find themselves wanting to touch the fur”. Though it is peculiar how the song is created through only the barking and howling of the dogs, the charm of Akita is certainly included in the “MOFU MOFU ☆DOGS” video, so why don’t you experience “Warm Japan” by watching it?
