Morning Musume.’16 member Miki Nonaka has taken on her first challenge of providing English narration for the information program “ch223 2016 The Best Graduation trip in Japan!?”!

Nonaka resided in America until the fourth grade. She is 16 and she was born in Shizuoka prefecture.

It was her first time to do English narration so she was a bit nervous but, it looked like she enjoyed her new challenge. She was begging for this job for ages. When she got used to it, she consulted with the director and fixed her manuscript by herself. She wanted to make the manuscript as clear as possible, so that it will be easier for the audience to understand. She still continues her training to maintain her English ability in Japan. Please pay attention to her fluent and clear narration!

Nonaka was asked to do English narration for “ch223 2016 The Best Graduation Trip in Japan!?” It is a special spin-off program from the information programs “PINK!SS” and “COPINK!SS.”

In 2013, Mount Fuji was designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. From taking this opportunity, it is broadcasted around February 23rd (the day of Mount Fuji) every year. This is the third time, so we invited Risa Yamaki from Country Girls, who is graduating from high school this spring, and Momomi Wagatsuma from Hakoiri♡Musume, who is graduating junior high school this spring for the filming. They will think about what is “The Best in Japan in Shizuoka” while visiting the Shizuoka prefecture, including Mount Fuji.

They went to a place called “Miho no Matsubara.”
Nonaka, who’s responsible for the narration, went there many times before so, she was impressed with the image. Hearing stories from staff, fortunately the weather turned out fine on the day of the shooting,. Usually, there is mist around the Mount Fuji around noon, but on that day it was clear and beautiful.

In the original program, they introduce varieties of “The Best in Japan in Shizuoka.” It takes one to one and a half hours to get to Shizuoka from Tokyo. The program is full of Shizuoka’s many appealing points. The terrestrial version was already broadcasted on February 20, 2016 on Shizuoka Asahi Television, but the international version, which Nonaka did the English narration for, will be uploaded in March on “PINK!SS CHANNEL” and here on Tokyo Girls’ Update. Don’t miss it!
