Mimimeme MIMI Unlock a 2.5D World in the MV for “CANDY MAGIC”!

Mimimeme MIMI have uncovered the MV for their 4th single “CANDY MAGIC” (release date: June 10). It is the current ending theme song for the anime “Yamada-kun and the 7 Witches” which began airing on April 12th.
“CANDY MAGIC” was directed by Atsunori Toshi, has singer and lyricist Yuki Takao in a forest surrounded by objects created by illustrator Chamoi. It’s a big change from the majority of Mimimeme MIMI’s past animated MVs, embodying the term “2.5D” (the term used to describe seiyuu (voice actors) and anime/game song artists because they are in between 2-dimensional anime/manga/games and 3-dimensional singers).
“CANDY MAGIC” will be released in a Yuki Takao version and a Mimimeme MIMI version which come packaged with limited edition stickers. The coupling song for both versions is “Sayonara Usotsuki ~Piano Version〜”. An earlier version of that song was included on the album “Meikyu Sentimental” (release date: August 13, 2014) and was used as the opening theme song for the anime adaptation of the Korean MMORPG “Blade and Soul”.
