Maison book girl Member Kaori Soumoto Announces Withdrawal From the Group

Maison book girl member and 2014 Miss iD finalist Kaori Soumoto announced her withdrawal from the group during their concert POP SONG FOR U Vol.2 at Shibuya eggman on March 8th.

According to a comment posted on Maison book girl’s official site, Soumoto explained that she was leaving the group due to family circumstances making it difficult to continue her activities. After many sleepless nights and discussing the matter with “many different people” (most likely management and other members), she made the difficult decision to withdraw. She continued by apologizing to fans, staff, and members of the group for her decision. Describing her brief time in Maison book girl a “treasure that she would never forget as long as she lived”, Soumoto asked fans to keep supporting the group.

Kaori Soumoto’s final performance with Maison book girl will be “SOLITUDE HOTEL B1” which will be held on March 27th at Chelsea Hotel in Shibuya, Tokyo. This announcement comes just as the group is preparing to release their first CDs “white” and “black”. The 2 CDs are limited to 900 copies each and will only be sold at Maison book girl events starting March 14th at “Yan Yan Utau Stage White Day” at TSUTAYA O-CREST. Here is what the cover art looks like for both CDs, which will be the first and last time that the current 4 members of Maison book girl will release a CD.
