Idol Koshien FESTIVAL: One Day, 140 Groups!

Idol Koshien FESTIVAL promises to be the largest idol festival in history with 140 groups/soloists scheduled to perform, trumping Tokyo Idol Festival 2014 (138 groups).
The theme of this autumn event is “groups that throw a curve ball when it comes to the expectations of what an idol is”. Here are just a few of the groups from both ends of the idol spectrum that you can look forward to seeing. Keeping with the baseball theme, we split them into two factions, which we arbitrarily named “Wild Pitch” and “Fastball”.
Wild Pitch Faction
NEXT Shojo Jiken: An “accident/incident” themed group, this duo combines heavy music with on-stage “accidents” for a show like you have never seen before!
Ultimate Future Weapons (Saishuu Mirai Heiki mofu): They consider themselves to be “the ultimate weapon” to save Japan by gathering together people from the worlds of otaku, cosplayers, idols, voice actresses, etc.
BELLRING Shojo Heart: It’s a bit of an oversimplification but, imagine if BiS had younger sisters who wore black school uniforms with sleeves that look like crow’s wings.
Fastball Faction
Hime Kyun Fruit Can:Ehime’s pop-punk quintet is coming back to Tokyo and they’re bringing their sister groups nanoCUNE and FRUITPOCHETTE along too! Get ready to bang your head and pump your fists!
Otome Shinto: With the addition of 4 new members, Otome Shinto is stronger than ever.
lyrical school: The 6-member idol rap crew will have you nodding your head and waving your hands. Check it out!
Of course, there will also be groups like: Lovely★Doll, Moso Calibration, Party Rockets, Idol College, and over 100 more groups all for the unbelievably low price of 4,500 yen (5,000 yen if you wait until the last minute)!
