Majisuka? HKT48 & Kishidan Prepare for Battle in the MV for “Shekarashika!”

HKT48 have donned their tokkofuku and headed off to a showdown with retro rockers Kishidan in the MV for their 6th single, “Shekarashika!”(release date: November 25), which is the theme song for their upcoming Majisuka Gakuen spin-off series Majisuka Gakuen 0: Kisarazu Ranto-hen which begins on November 29th.

The MV for “Shekarashika!” has the members of HKT48 facing off and dancing along with Kishidan on the grounds of a Shinto shrine at night as well as scenes from the latest installment of the popular Majisuka Gakuen series. Here are some screencaps.

When the collaboration was announced on October 11th, Sho Ayanokoji, the leader of Kishidan, was asked if he felt that the song could get NHK to reverse his lifetime ban for his controversial performance as DJ Ozma in 2006 and he had high hopes that it would be possible. Based on the short trailer for Majisuka Gakuen 0: Kisarazu Ranto-hen from HKT48’s YouTube channel below, it might not be so easy for them but, at least it looks like it will be a must-watch!

“Shekarashika!” will be released in 3 CD/DVD versions and a CD-only theater version. Type-A includes the Team H song “Buddy” on the CD as well as the MVs for “Buddy” and “Shekarashika!”, making of video for “Shekarashika!” and a special Majisuka Gakuen 0: Kisarazu Ranto-hen clip on the DVD. Type-B includes the Team KIV song “Yumemiru Team KIV” on the CD and MVs for “Yumemiru Team KIV” and “Shekarashika!” as well as the first part of a HKT48 BBQ video on the DVD. Type-C includes a Nako Yabuki solo song “Ijiwaru Chu” on the CD and the MVs for “Ijiwaru Chu” and “Shekarashika!” and the second part of the HKT48 BBQ video on the DVD. The theater version includes a song titled “Koi no Yubisaki”, which is not available on any other versions. The coupling song for all versions is titled “Tasogare no Tandem”. The CD/DVD versions also include a handshake ticket and 1 of 16 randomly selected pocket calendars.
