BOOK AND BED TOKYO is a cheap hostel that opened in November 2015 at Ikebukuro West Exit. The concept is a sleepover bookstore, with books of many genres from manga to magazines (note : they do not sell books). Lying down reading your favorite book or manga and falling asleep is probably one of the best moments. This is a place where you can experience those happy moments!

After walking about a minute from Ikebukuro station, you go up to the 7th floor where a stylish space with many bookshelves appear. All of the books are chosen by SHIBUYA PUBLISHING & BOOKSELLERS. They have around 1700 books and 20% of them are in foreign languages. They have English version of Japanese manga, and Tokyo guide books, so you will never get tired of reading.
If you look at this shelf carefully, there are blue curtains. Behind these are the beds! They have 12 of this BOOKSHELF type of rooms which are also symbols of this place. They also have a more concentrated room to stay called the BUNK type which they have 18. They have 2 sizes STANDARD and COMPACT. In every room they have a light, curtains, hangers, and a socket. Of course, they also have free wi-fi.
In the shared space, they have sofas for you to relax and read and chat. Taking a look at the view of the city of Ikebukuro from the 7th floor may be nice too. The clean showers and toilets will make your stay even more convenient. You might even want to stay in the hostel and read instead of going out sightseeing.
