Energetically expanding their concert activity overseas, Faint★Star, the pop duo of HINA and YURIA, celebrated the huge success of their first U.S. concert at the J-POP SUMMIT 2015 held in San Francisco, U.S.A. for three days on August 7th (Fri), 8th (Sat), and 9th (Sun).

San Francisco, making the latest content from Japan available to the rest of the world, welcomed its seventh year of the J-POP SUMMIT, featuring concerts from artists such as JAM Project, Eir Aoi, and KEN ISHII, among others.

With the Fort Maison Center serving as their main stage, and the San Francisco sightseeing-centered Union Square as their second, Faint★Star performed a total of three sets over two days on August 8th (Sat) and 9th (Sun). Their set list included “Boyfriend –A.S.A.P.–”from the first album release PL4E on July 7, featuring songs with an upper sound like their EDM-style concert regular number “Sly”, “Menai”, and so on. As soon as the first notes of their set began, many people in the audience immediately began dancing to their music.

They did their MC completely in English, with YURIA saying, “This is the first time in San Francisco, ever! And we absolutely fell in love with San Francisco.” followed by HINA stating, “We are very happy to be with you!”which was met with overjoyed cheers from the J-POPPERS gathered at the venue. Additionally, one of the biggest highlights of their performances were the many fans in the audience dancing and mimicking their “voguing” dance, as well as guests including Miss Asian California, Miss Asian San Francisco, with praises of “Beautiful!” and “Outstanding!” (in a very positive sense) from many local media outlets, asking for autographs and venue coverage inside and out.

The group will also perform at Tokyo Crazy Kawaii Bangkok at the end of August. It will mark their first concert in Bangkok. During the first week of September the group will prepare for their second concert in Indonesia, and plan to actively increase their concert appearances overseas.
