Draft King has finally revealed the full version of the MV for their 3rd single “This is me.” (release date: July 22)!

“This is me.” was written by vocalist erica due to her feelings of self-doubt about being a member of Draft King. In the MV, Popteen model Yurano Ochi plays a young girl who is connected to the world through her smartphone but seems to have problems dealing with people face-to-face. She declines an invitation to go to karaoke with friends while she entertains herself in Omotesando, taking pictures and uploading them to her social media account. The online conversations of the surrounding people scroll behind Yurano, emphasizing how alone she is, even if it is by choice.

Breaking herself away from the virtual life taking place on her smartphone, Yurano watches Draft King playing on a pedestrian bridge alongside the director Miyuki Torii (in lolita fashion). The green speech bubbles around her disappear and Yurano smiles cheerfully, an Instagram-style heart appearing on the screen as the scene fades out.

“This is me.” will be sold in a limited CD/DVD version and a regular CD-only version. The CD/DVD version includes a live studio acoustic one-take recording of “Chikai no Uta” and the DVD has a TOWER RECORDS INSTORE tour 2015 documentary movie on it. The CD-only regular version has a live studio acoustic one-take recording of “Mayonaka Merry-Go-Round”. Both versions also include a random “This is me.” photo of either one of the members of Draft King or Yurano Ochi and priority for Draft King’s solo concert at Shibuya www on October 22nd.
