It’s fairly well known that if you search for “Japanese commercial” on any video site, you are in for hours of amazing entertainment. Kirin has spared no expense in the new series of commercials for Mets soda starring characters from Dragon Ball Z Fukkatsu no F, Dempagumi.inc, children’s TV character Gachapin, figure skater Nobunari Oda, and many others. If you go to the special site they made for the new campaign, there seem to be a lot more segments that have not been edited into shorter commercials yet. In the US, regardless of whether one likes football or not, people watch the Super Bowl for the commercials. While Japan doesn’t really have such a sporting event of the same magnitude, with commercials like these, it’s like every day is the Super Bowl!
