Manga Featuring Idol Wotaku is Trend?  Idols & Music & Books Collabo Event Series “Bookdol Union” to be Launched!

New series of events “Bookdol Union” that an idol, music and book are collaborated will be held on August 15th at dues Shinjuku, welcoming idol writer Shinshi Okajima as the director of the event.

This project starts from the live concert and talk event to promote the idol and their related book. In the near future, they are going to create more event that an idol, music and book are all in!

The first event will be held on August 15th at dues Shinjuku in order to celebrate that the comic “Million Doll” is animated. Maison book girl, Kokoro shinozaki, and Ai, the writer of Million Doll, will be on the stage. Million Doll is the story that wotaku tries to make his/her oshi more famous. TV anime will be broadcasted on Tokyo MX and other stations. The event directer says it is kind of movements to describe Idol wotaku in 2D world, such as anime or manga.

The second event will be planned to be held in the late September, covering the photo book “0410” which girls with shot cut hair are taken up as theme. Erika Iida, the photographer of the book, is decided to stand on the stage and other guests will be released soon.

In the runup to the events, the column “Idol Music Guide by Shinshi Okajima” will start in the free mail magazine of bookunion Shinjuku. Also, you can check the column (all in Japanese).
