Popular clothing boutique BEAMS celebrate their 40th anniversary by turning back the clock and flashing through the different waves of fashion that swept through Tokyo in a 5-minute video.
With 90’s mellow hip-hop classic “Kon’ya wa Boogie Back” (Scha Dara Parr) serving as the soundtrack, artists from each era put their unique spin on the tune as the viewer is taken on a trip through the popular looks of Tokyo’s fashion leaders. With a sign asking “What’s next?” posted at the end, we look forward to seeing what the next 40 years of fashion in Tokyo will look like!
