ANGERME Are a Coven of Colorful Witches in the MV for “Mahotsukai Sally”!

ANGERME has revealed the magical MV for “Mahotsukai Sally” from their upcoming triple A-side single “Nanakorobi Yaoki/Gashinshotan/Mahotsukai Sally” (release date: July 22)!
“Mahoutsukai Sally” is a cover of the song from the first magical girl anime in Japanese history and is the ambassador song for the Idol Matsuri anisong cover contest. Currently it seems that the Idol Matsuri site is being bombarded by fans voting for their favorite performances of the song but, if you search 愛踊祭 on YouTube, there are dozens (hundreds?) of other versions of the song done by other groups/soloists from all over Japan! In addition to some impressive dancing and cute facial expressions, the members of ANGERME cast some spells with their magic wands. Yes, the strings that turn the book pages and make the cakes levitate are visible but, that’s part of the charm, no?
“Nanakorobi Yaoki/Gashinshotan/Mahotsukai Sally” will be released in 6 different versions: 3 Limited Editions (A-C) and 3 Regular versions (A-C). Limited Edition A will include a DVD with the MV for “Nanakorobi Yaoki”. Limited Edition B will include a DVD with the MV for “Gashinshotan”. Limited Edition C will include a DVD with the MV for “Mahotsukai Sally”. Regular versions A-C will have different covers.
