AKB48 So Touched! Unveils Five Major DOME Tour’s DVD/ Blu-ray Jacket, Pics, Short Movies Prior to DVD/Blu-ray Release

AKB48 revealed a special site and YouTube movies for the release of the DVD/Blu-ray “AKB48 2013 Manatsu no Dome Tour ~ We still have things to do ~” to be released on December 18. Digest Videos of graduation documentary of Mariko Shinoda, Sayaka Akimoto, and Tomomi Itano, and the largest unpublished photo gallery ever, were out on the site and YouTube.
The DVD/Blu-ray of the five dome tour “AKB48 2013 Manatsu no Dome Tour ~ We still have things to do ~” will be released in 2 ways, Special Box of 10 discs and Single Collection of 2 discs.
The cover jacket has become a graphical mix of a symbol of the tour “container stage” and “Fortune Cookie”.
As one of the highlights, it records completely the performance in the five major dome tour which AKB48 challenged for the first time, and the graduation ceremony of Mariko Shinoda, Sayaka Akimoto, and Tomomi Itano. The three graduates’ documentary footages which will be recorded in the special box, were produced by three different directors who produced a music video of AKB48 in the past. According to people familiar with the matter, “documentaries are very moving, it has become almost like a movie, three directors gave direction that matched the three graduates.”
In accordance with the public of the jacket, digest video was also published on YouTube. A special combination of members that can not be seen on usual stage, appeared a lot in the footage called UNIT DISC. Also, it’s available to watch a short version of the graduation documentaries.
The largest unpublished photo gallery is specially provided in the official site. To open to the public this volume prior to DVD/Blu-ray release is exceptional, those pics are the full unpublished pictures that doesn’t even include into the DVD/Blu-ray.
SINGLE COLLECTION which will be launched simultaneously with Special Box, was recorded all single titles from all 11 public performances. It’s a single complete works of AKB48 and the sister groups, has been selected from “Sakura no Hanabiratachi” to “Melon Juice”.
In conclusion, Special Box and SINGLE COLLECTION are going to be the products for not only the fans, but also for people who have never seen a concert of AKB48 yet.
