Finally, AKB’s Summer Concert Tour in 5 Major Domes Started!

AKB48’s summer concert tour, titled “AKB48 2013 Manatsu no Dome Tour – Madamada, Yaranakya Ikenai Koto ga Aru -”, has been started at FUKUOKA YAFUOKU! DOME on July 20th. The concert tour to be held at 5 major domes during this July and August.

In the performances on the first day which was held in Fukuoka, members from HKT48 (a group based in Hakata, Fukuoka) was very active in various scenes. Sashihara Rino sang “Kimi wa Boku da” in a solo, and Tasima Meru performed “Candy” with AKB48’s Shimazaki Haruka and SKE48’s Matsui Rena.

In addition, it was suddenly announced that a new unit composed of 7 kenkyusei members (trainee members) to make debut! The members are Kojima Mako, Nishino Miki, Okada Nana, Kitagawa Ryouha, Shibuya Nagisa, Tajima Meru, and Tominaga Mio. Since the members had known nothing, they were so surprised. Then, furthermore, the first song for the new unit will be unveiled on July 31st at the upcoming concert in Sapporo Dome.

During the first day, a drawing to determine the pairings for the group’s upcoming Janken Tournament (to be held on September 18 at Nippon Budokan) was also held, and the results have been revealed.

Kashiwagi Yuki and Watanabe Mayu to clash at the first round (Round 2). Oshima Yuko couldn’t be seeded, so she have to win through from Round 1.
