The “yami-kawaii” idol group is part of the “Yan-Doru” project headed up by ex-Ayaman JAPAN member Mensoore Aina. As explained in the previous article about the group, the “sickness” refers to how “yami-kawaii” girls might be cute but have kind of obscure or uncool and geeky interests, are very insecure about themselves and prone to negative thoughts. Similar to the eyepatch and bandage trend from a few years ago, the appeal is in how the girls appear to be weak and in need of care and protection. In the case of a “yami-kawaii” girl, her bandages/scars are internal. A “yami-kawaii” girl is kind of like Rei Ayanami from Evangelion in some aspects. Also, they typically are kind of pale, whether it is natural or from adopting “byojaku gao” (sickly face) look. Perhaps “yami-kawaii” can be better explained by looking at the illustration of the members?

“Neo Jealous✡Mero Chaos” has been composed by keyboardist and songwriter for the band Gauche. Kazuki Mizutani. Here is a video of the song “Taemanai Bokura no Hankotsu Seishin” by the band which might give you an idea of what kind of song it will be.

The release date for “Neo Jealous✡Mero Chaos” has not yet been announced but based on the amount of updates that the members and staff of Zenbu Kimi no Sei Da have been putting out, anticipation for what kind of MV it will have has increased. With so many idol groups active in Japan being produced and managed by so many different agencies, there is no real standard way to do things. Some groups will release dozens of singles before having a proper MV. Others may go years without putting out a single CD, relying on constant performing to win them a fan base. Sometimes an MV will be released months before the CD goes on sale while it may also appear weeks or months later, if at all. At the very least, Zenbu Kimi no Sei Da seems to be committed to keeping fans informed what is going on? It should only be a matter of time before we see if the wait was worth it.
