Nana Fujita from AKB48 stretches her legs in the MV for her solo debut single “Migi Ashi Evidence” (release date: December 23)!

Fujita was awarded a solo single after winning the 6th annual AKB48 Janken Tournament at Yokohama Arena on September 16th, rising above 107 other members in a battle of nerves and quick reflexes. Tapping into her dance background (ballet lessons since the 4th year of primary school), “Migi Ashi Evidence” is an intense dance song which takes her and her backup dancers to the middle of Shibuya on a rainy night and several other sparkling locations.

The MV for “Kimi wa Ima Made Doko ni Ita?” has AKB48 Janken Tournament runner-up Chiyori Nakanishi as a television mascot who has a coming out to the world as the head of her costume falls off and the audience scrambles to photograph and film the incident as it unfolds. Nakanishi (2nd in 2015, 16th in 2014) almost perfectly switches places with 2014’s champion Miyuki Watanabe (15th in 2015, 1st in 2014) by taking the center position of the coupling song. Kiara Sato (12th in 2014, 5th in 2015) also makes a repeat appearance in the janken single.

“Migi Ashi Evidence” includes a DVD with the full-length MVs for the 2 songs and will include 2 “nama shashin” and a ticket to participate in a release event. Despite expressing doubts that they should have won, Nana Fujita and Chiyori Nakanishi seem to have put those fears aside to take the center stage, at least for a short interval of time. It will be interesting to see who ends up in that position in 2016 as well!
