If “Cool Japan” isn’t enough, Million Girls Project has introduced the latest in their “Crazy Japanese” themed products, the “anbburera”（あんっ♡ぶれら）, a combination of the words “underpants” and “umbrella” and it’s exactly what it sounds like. It’s an umbrella with panties on it. Open the umbrella and on the inside of it is a print of an upskirt shot!
So far it is being sold in 2 different versions. Above is one with light blue and white striped panties and knee-high socks. Below is the less obvious school swimsuit version for those less confident in sharing their passion for panties with those around them.

Following up on related products/events like the skirt-flipping calendar, panty-flash photo exhibition, bottle/smartphone panties, and panty drinking glasses, it seems something new has been added to Japanese panty culture. While the “anbburera” has just been launched, is there a chance that it will take off and become something like the ita-sha (cars decorated in anime, manga, or game characters) or ita-bag? Are “ita-kasa” (kasa is the Japanese word for “umbrella”) something that may become reality in the future? We’ll just have to wait and see.
