The cover art for Rena Matsui‘s collaboration single with Charan Po Rantan “Shabon” (release date: April 6) has been revealed!
“Shabon” is the theme song for the drama Kanagawa-ken Atsugi-shi Laundry Chigasaki which stars Rena as a young woman who works at a mysterious coin laundry. The fashions worn by Rena and Charan Po Rantan are a combination of stylish and coquettish Western clothing and the music is described as having a French Jazz feel to it, opening a new door for Rena Matsui as she takes on a new challenge in her career. Keeping with the theme of the drama, washing machines and soap bubbles also appear.
“Shabon” will be released in 3 different versions. Type-A will include the MV for “Shabon”, and Type-B will include the making of video for “Shabon”. Type-C will include a yet unnamed third song. The coupling song for all versions is also yet untitled.
