Raira Ito Announces Graduation From HKT48! Dreams of Spreading Idol Culture Worldwide!

Second generation HKT48 member Raira Ito announced her graduation from the group during the January 17, 2016 Team KIV performance of “Theater no Megami” at the HKT48 Theater.
She explained that she had become more interested in studying English and wanted to study abroad with the dream being able to spread idol culture to the rest of the world (Please consider working for Tokyo Girls’ Update!). According to an entry on the HKT48 blog, her graduation performance will take place at the HKT48 Theater on February 29, 2016 and her related social media accounts will be closed on the same day.
While it is never easy to see an idol announce their graduation, if everything works out as planned for Raira, it will just be a matter of time when her fans will be able to see her again.
