On November 19th, palet held a special event to celebrate the eve of release date for their major debut single “Believe in Yourself!” at Fountain Square in Ikebukuro Sunshine City, Tokyo.
As a special guest, their senior group PASSPO☆ also made appearance on the stage. A total of 2,000 people crowded to the venue.
At the opening, palet appeared on the stage that was decorated for Christmas, and performed their major debut song “Believe in Yourself!” Following that, they also performed the new song “LOVE WINTER MEMORIES”, which is included in the single as a coupling track, and their representative song “Shouri no Seal.” They expressed the pleasure of major debut with the full-power performance using their whole body.
In the talk section after the opening performance, a senior group that belongs to the same production company as palet, PASSPO☆, made appearance on the stage.
Then, palet’s member Mitsuki Kimishika said “Have a showdown with us! Someday, we should go beyond the group we respect most, PASSPO☆-san, from today as a major artist.” So, best-of-two match contest between palet and PASSPO☆ took place suddenly.
The first game was tug-of-war. It was a good match each two group holds their ground. But, PASSPO☆ won the fierce battle, showing underlying strength as a senior.
The second game was musical chairs. While members of both groups lost out one after another, it came into a single combat of Shiori Mori (PASSPO☆) v Kimishima Mitsuki (palet) at the final round. Both groups cheered their own representative desperately. Then finally, PASSPO☆’s Shiori Mori won the game even though it was the day of palet’s major debut commemoration.
As a result, PASSPO☆ became a winner of the showdown. PASSPO☆’s Makita said, “We’re really sorry, but we cannot cut corners in any games though we are older than you.” Negishi added and celebrated, “I’m glad to hold our first showdown with palet. From now on, we’ll keep our best so that we do not lose to palet. Let me say again, congratulations major debut!”
At the end of the event, each member of palet shared gratitude.
Mitsuki Kimijima : I’m really glad that we could perform our songs in front of many fans. Moreover, to my delight, our loving senior group PASSPO☆ came to our event to celebrate us. Everything made me feel so glad. We’ll keep trying our best in palet’s own way from now on.
Riona Igusa : I’m so glad to be able to have a showdown with PASSPO☆-san. It’s so happy to make major debut with this six members!

Saki Takeda : Even though today is a weekday, I’m so glad that a lot people like this came to see us. Please support us from now on!
Yui Fujimoto : Though it hasn’t really sunk in yet that we’ll make our major debut tomorrow, I want to see further landscapes with taking things one day at a time. We’ll really keep trying to do our best to be worthy as “PASSPO☆’s sister group.” Thank you so much for everyone!
Furthermore, we were able to receive the message to everyone in the overseas fans from palet.
From Yui Fujimoto to global fans : “TORIKO”, in which our debut single “Believe in Yourself” is used as the theme song, is one of the most beloved anime series not only in Japan but also in overseas. So, we hope more and more people to know about palet, and we hope that many people in various countries to become a lover of palet! We hope we could perform in overseas countries someday, too. We’ll do our best from now on, so please support us always! Thanks.
In the lyric of palet’s major debut song “Believe in Yourself”, you may hear two simple Japanese words “Daijoubu!” and “Makenaide!”. The two words are absolute magical words that cheer up someone. “Daijoubu!” means “We will be alright!”, and “Makenaide!” means “Don’t be afraid!.” The girls cheer up everyone with the magical word like those, on the other hand, they’re inspiring themselves to realize their own dream singing “Believe in Yourself!”. We’re really looking forward to their future activity. Please take a look on palet’s major debut song, “Believe in Yourself!”
