All the Members Gathered for the Second Time! NGT48 Boosts Soon Getting Cold Niigata

“NGT48“, a sister group of AKB48, whose activity base is Niigata, performed live concert at Niigata Sogo Television on October 3rd. For this performance, all the 26 members participated.

This event was titled “Kimi ni Aitakatta kara! NGT48 Zenin Soroechaimashita LIVE ~Madamada NST Matsuri wa Owaranai~” and held as an additional event of “NST Matsuri (NST Festival)” organized by Niigata Sogo Television last week.

This was the second time that all the 26 members of NGT48 got together in Niigata since their first showcase event back in August 2015.

In addition to the songs “Aitakatta”, “NGT48” and “Halloween Night” that were already showed up until now, they performed 3 new songs, “Heavy Rotation”, “Kimi no Koto ga Suki Dakara”, and “Iiwake Maybe”. Minami Katou, who excels in acrobatic performances, was the center for “Heavy Rotation” and she stunned the audience by throwing in a forward somersault.

Rika Nakai took the center position for “Kimi no Koto ga Suki Dakara”,Hinata Honma for “Iiwake Maybe”, and Tsugumi Ogmua for “Aitakatta”. It seemed they got nervous than usual due to the heavy responsibility of the position, but showed energetic performance boosted along by the vocal support by their fans.

When they came back on stage for an encore they had changed into new hoodie costumes, with red and white, the group’s color. Having warm fluffy materials inside to protect against the cold, the new costume must be perfect for upcoming Niigata’s cold winter. However, it turned out too hot for them on that day as they had super energetic performance.

Originally the NGT48 theater was scheduled to open on the 1st of this month in “Lovela 2”, a commercial facility in Bandai, Niigata, but it was postponed to January 10th, 2016 due to the construction. Kitahara once again expressed her apology to the local fans. Kashiwagi said, “We are very sorry to those who have looked forward to this, but we will work even harder for its open. We would like to appeal the good points of NGT48 to the entire country.” The audience responded saying that they’ll be waiting.
